Kayaking can be traced back to the ancient Inuit Eskimo people and is done on an extremely stable watercraft that was originally made of wood and sealskin. Fortunately, modern-day kayaks are made of tough rotomolded, space-age plastics and are a fast and efficient way to travel across water. A kayak’s stability is second to none and it is a great way to get started with watercraft, becoming comfortable on the water, and getting a full body workout at the same time. Remember, to ensure your safety, Personal Flotation Devices (PFD’s or “lifejackets” ) are required equipment at Tigertail Lake Recreational Center.
This admission allows you to switch out between our kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and canoes all day! This pass also includes the use of a locker. The number of lockers is limited, however, and they are made available on a first come, first served basis.
